All Safari Tours are conducted in Open Game Drive Safari Vehicles and all have the required Carrier Permits as per the South African Roads Act. All transfers are conducted in either Mini Bus or 4x4 Luxury Vehicles. These too have their Carrier permits.
Durban is situated a mere 2,5hrs South of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park as well as the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. No visit to Durban can be complete without enjoying a Safari to Hluhluwe Imfolozi Park this park is the gem of KwaZulu Natal and is home to the African Big 5.
The size of the park is 96000 hectares and is namely known as the Hluhluwe and Imfolozi Park. The Hluhluwe is situated on the northern side while the Imfolozi is situated in the south closest to Durban when travelling.
Ironically the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which starts in the South is situated directly East of the Imfolozi Park making travelling to both of these destinations very easy. The roads linking these two parks are the N2 which is one of the National main roads it is well maintained and is also a toll road.

These Safari's are available daily however bookings are essential. Should you like a transfer from Durban, Heritage Tours & Safaris will gladly assist. Your Guide / Driver has numerous years experience with PDP (Professional Driving Licence, First Aid certified and either Theta of Fugasa registered). All vehicles are air conditioned for those warmer summer days.
Sit back relax while you are transferred to the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa, once at the Park you will be transferred over into a Open Game Drive Vehicle for the duration of the Safari Tour and then transferred back to Durban.

Rich in history, this park was once the private hunting grounds of King Shaka (Umfolozi). This park world renown for it's safe the rhino campaign in the 60's where less than 100 Rhino's roamed the planet was recovered due to the techniques designed by the Game Capture Unit.
