Durban Weekend Safari

A mere 2,5 hrs North of Durban lies the incredible Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, Africa's oldest proclaimed park, home to the African Big 5. This park will truly amaze you with it's bounty of wildlife and spectacular scenery. Other magnificent wildlife that you could also possibly encounter on your safari include Cheetah and Wild Dogs.

 

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park is 96000 hectares in size, this splendid park has some tremendous history when King Shaka used the Umfolozi as his personal hunting grounds or how techniques where developed for game capture that are still used today. This park with it's magnificent rolling hills and splendid scenery offers you some incredible wildlife. Sit back and relax as your personal ranger takes you deep into the park as you go insearch of the African Big 5 and other wildlife. Enjoy traditional South African braai at one of the many picnic spots and enjoy the hides within the park.

iSimangaliso Wetland Park is officially the first world heritage site in South Africa. The park is enormous to say the least and offers some incredible Biodiversity to say the least. One may enjoy numerous weekend activities once in the area. From Hippos wandering the streets at night to Leopards stalking prey all the while in the town of St Lucia. St Lucia is the closest town when traveling from Durban a mere 2,5 hr drive. This is also the gateway to the southern section of iSimangaliso.
