The company offers a variety of key safari opportunities to both Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve and iSimangaliso Wetlands Park. Daily departures into Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve start at 6:00am. The company owns a large fleet of luxury 4x4 open game drive vehicles as well as closed luxury air-conditioned vehicles.

A Day on Safari with Heritage Tours & Safaris

Each day different with it comes a new experience a different perspective. An African Sunrise, misty Valleys and open Savannahs, Lush Forests, Romantic Beaches and Animals lots of them.

 A typical day on Safari

 5:00 am

You’re Game Ranger, knowing your expectations offers a warm smile, it’s still dark and calm outside. The quiet chatter of birds and branches rustling a reminder of another day. You will board one of our Game Drive Vehicles; your ranger will ensure that you are comfortable a brief introduction and you are off to one of the most splendid places in Zululand, Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve the oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa.

 6:00 am

With the Sunrise to your East, heartfelt warmth starts to show, peeking through a haze of mist miles away. What a better way to enjoy with a piping hot cup in your hand you know now surely you are now in Africa. This early all predators are active, boarding the game drive once again we go in search of them. Passing by herds of Zebras, Kudu and Giraffe all within easy view.

 8:00 am

With magnificent scenery and animal sightings thus far the ranger stops at a predetermined picnic site, a bush delight. Sharing memorable moments with a fellow traveller or seeking more information from you knowledgeable ranger. With more to come you climb aboard the game drive vehicle setting of to explore more.

 1:00 pm

By now you have travelled through thick lush bush, open savannah plains over rivers and streams, travelled over hills with scenes of Impala herds, Rhino’s grazing, Buffalo’s stares, Vultures in the sky and more. Time for a traditional South African Barbeque. A feast awaits you, relax while the ranger prepares.

3:30 pm

With memory cards full and sights of delight our ranger drops you off at the lodge.
