The Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park is a Big 5 Park and is home to an impressive array of wildlife species. 96000 Hectares of magnificence await you, Not only do you stand a chance of spotting the Big 5 but also Cheetahs, Wild Dogs, and many other species.
The park is one of the oldest in South Africa and by far the most impressive when one takes into account that this park itself saved the Rhinos from near extinction in the 60's.
All Half-Day Big 5 Safaris are conducted in Open Game Drive Safari Vehicles, with experienced Game Rangers. These rangers have spent many a day in this park, and you are assured of some spectacular sightings while out on Safari.
Hluhluwe Combo Safari Outline
We offer various pickup options, if you are overnighting in St Lucia then your ranger will pick you up at your accommodation at 05:00 am and transfer you through to the Nyalazi Gate (Imfolozi Section). Please note that this is a complimentary service.
Should you like to join us at the gate (Nyalazi Gate-Imfolozi Park) please make sure that the pick-up meeting time is 06:00 a.m.
All conservation Fees-Gate Fees are included in the price and once this has all been paid you will set off into this magnificent game reserve. Primarily you will be spending most of your time in the southern side of the park (Imfolozi) this is due to its size being larger, less traffic, and of course more sightings of the various predators in the early mornings.
It will undoubtedly be a memorable safari with amazing and incredible sightings, spectacular information from your ranger, and of course some of the most incredible scenery.
Sit back while your ranger gets you to some of the very best spots within the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Breakfast will be enjoyed at a picnic spot with a scrumptious breakfast, coffee, and tea.

Late Afternoon: 2 Hour Hippo Boat Cruise - St Lucia
You will join one of the Shoreline Boats and venture up one of the largest estuarine systems in Africa. This estuary is home to one of the largest Hippo Populations in South Africa an estimated 800 or so, 1200 Nile Crocodiles, and an unbandance of Birdlife.
The two hours spent will be one of mesmerizing sights of Hippos yawning grunting and playful antics. Keep an eye out for the occasional Elephants that also frequent this area. All skippers/guides are experienced and also have numerous years of experience with this system.
The vessels were custom-built with the shallowest drafts and therefore you are assured of close-up sightings of the various wildlife.
With ample space to move around make sure you don't forget your camera.
