Private Big 5 Safari - Full Day Option
Explore this incredible game reserve in an Open Game Drive Safari Vehicle with an experienced and knowledgeable ranger. Enjoy the African Sunrise, Elephants trumpeting, and learn more about this amazing park while out on a Full-Day Private Big 5 Safari.
Not only do you have an opportunity to witness the African Big 5 (Lions, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo, and Elephants) but also Wild Dogs, Cheetahs, and a wide variety of other smaller wildlife species on this safari.
This 7-9 Hour Safari takes one into the Imfolozi side of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. This is purely due to its size and larger populations of wildlife in the area. With its winding gravel roads and scenic outcrops, grasslands, and open savannahs you are in for a true African treat.
Private Big 5 Safari - Overview
- Depart at 05:00 am (from St Lucia)
- Alternatively, meet us at the Nyalazi Gate (Imfolozi side) at 06:00 am
- Gate/Entrance Fees included
- Game Viewing until 08:30 for breakfast (continental breakfast & refreshments)
- Game Viewing until 12:30 until lunch (traditional South African Braai)
- 2:30 start heading back towards the entrance gate.
We offer two options, we can pick you up in St Lucia should you be overnighting in the area and transfer you through to the park, alternatively you can meet us at the Nyalazi Gate in the southern side of the Imfolozi Park at 06:00 am.
The entrance has ample free parking and is also safe. Once at the gate your guide/ranger will offer you some insightful information as to the park, and its incredible history.
Once all of the gate fees have been paid you are off into Africa's oldest proclaimed game reserve, make sure to let him or her know what is your favorite animal.
Without wasting your ranger will get you into the best parts of the park for your Big 5 Safari.
You have the day to explore, learn and witness as much as possible at your own pace.
All catering is included and comprises of a continental breakfast at one of the numerous scenic picnic spots, there can be nothing nicer than enjoying a warm cup of coffee while listening to the wild. Lunch comprises of a traditional South African Braai, (Barbeque) with an assortment of salads and refreshments.
All vehicles carry additional coolers with bottled water and extra blankets should you feel a bit cool in the morning.
All game-drive vehicles have canvas sides witch roll up and all tops are solid to ensure your safety.
