This package includes two separate days of safaris into the park, one into the South (Imfolozi) and one into the North (Hluhluwe).

Day 1
Arrive in St Lucia (Please note that we offer an option with transfers to and from Durban). Depending on your arrival time you may still join a late afternoon Hippo & Crocodile Boat Cruise on the St Lucia Estuary.
Day 2
After Breakfast head off into South Africa's very first world heritage site on a Cape Vidal Full-Day Safari Tour. Conducted in an Open Game Drive Vehicle your experienced game ranger will get you to the very best areas within the park as you travel through numerous Biospheres. It's a day of game viewing and some magnificent beach time (Snorkelling included weather dependant).
Included is a lovely picnic lunch at either Cape Vidal or Mission Rocks, snorkel equipment is included.
Day 3
Head off early into the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. Today you will enjoy the Southern section of the Imfolozi Park on a Full-Day Big 5 Safari. Unique in every way sit back and let your ranger offer you some amazing and interesting facts regarding this park. The southern section is primarily known for its sightings of Rhino (Black & White), Elephant, Wild Dogs and Cheetah.
Included is breakfast, bush lunch (braai) and refreshments
Day 4
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then set off towards Hluhluwe town today you will enjoy both Emdoneni Cheetah Rehabilitation center as well as Bayete Elephant interaction. Both offer incredible information regarding the wildlife that they have rescued and is truly insightful.
Bayete has elephants that roam freely on the reserve however they return for feeding and this is where the local guide offers you a unique opportunity to see these amazing and incredible animals up close. Some will have the opportunity to touch and feed them.
Emdoneni has for years rescued numerous types of wildlife and more so Cheetas this family-run company offers you magnificent information and reasons why there is the need for rehabilitation for rescued animals.
Day 5
Once again it's an early departure as you set off towards the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park this time you will enjoy a Full-Day Big 5 Safari in the northern section (Hluhluwe). The area has a hilly topography with incredible vantage points from which to enjoy various wildlife. The area is primarily known for its Lions, Elephants, Rhino, Buffalo and much more.
Included is a super breakfast and bush lunch with all refreshments.
Day 6
After breakfast, you venture to Khula Village on a Zulu Cultural Tour. Enjoy both Zulu Dancing, storytelling and of course immerse yourself in Zulu Culture.
Late afternoon it's time to set off on an African Sunset Safari, sit back enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying a truly remarkable sunset with wildlife.
Day 7
Get set to venture into the Mkuze Game Reserve, a birders paradise. Sandy and gravel roads makes this park quieter so sit back and enjoy a true african style safari.
Day 8
Sunrise Safari into the Western Shores and a Hippo & Croc Boat Cruise

We stayed at the wonderful @Heritage House, which was comfortable and luxurious, and because it only has 4-5 rooms, you are well cared for by the lovely manageress, Thea. Breakfasts were really enjoyable!
A big thank you to Bev from Heritage Tours who assisted with our booking (which included communication lasting over a year due to covid). We had to reschedule a few times and we were always accommodated with ease. Thank you! The package was also put together very thoughtfully and we were well guided to ensure a pleasant experience. It was nice not to have to do any of the planning or thinking!
We are also very thankful to our amazing guide, JABU, who was with us for all 3 days and offered a fantastic experience. His knowledge was exceptional, especially regarding the birdlife - he taught us so much. He is also a great braai master!

An incredible and unbelievable experience! I did the 7-night Safari package and my guide was Jonathan Webster. Very knowledgeable and makes the whole experience amazing. Furthermore, for the Isimangliso Safari, I did this with Senzo and I also did a Zulu cultural tour with Xolani.
Both Senzo and Xolani made the experience great and explained a lot. The package offered by Heritage Tours is amazing and you really get to explore a large part of Northern KwaZulu Natal with its diverse wildlife and plant species, as compared to being stuck in one lodge. I will definitely do this again and they have amazing accommodation at heritage house with a wonderful breakfast!! This is definitely value for money!!!
My 85-year-old mother and 3 sisters had an amazing experience. Jason was a fabulous guide. His knowledge of the animals, the landscape was impeccable. We even were able to see the Big 5. We were pampered at the guest house and the accommodations were wonderful. Our location was close to all the wonderful restaurants and hippos. Thank you for such a wonderful safari!
We booked a 2-night safari which included a river safari to see hippos and crocs, which we did. The following day we had a day safari, a Night Safari and on the last day, we had a safari on Cape Vidal and the wetlands with snorkelling also. Both days included breakfast and lunch which was very good on both occasions.
We were incredibly lucky to have Jon, Jason and Sibo as our guides for the trips. They were all very good at finding animals that a layman would have found impossible to see in the bush. Jon in particular had an encyclopaedic knowledge of the animal’s, birds and plants. We learnt so much on all of the trips which made it so much better.
There were 4-6 people in each jeep, 4 for us most of the time so it was quite intimate and the safaris didn’t feel at all touristy. If there was a sighting of something interesting there was a maximum of us and another jeep present.
We definitely were not expecting the quality of safari we got for the money we paid and felt it was exceptional value! Highly recommended and thanks guys for the amazing trip.
