We found Heritage Day Tours to be a great way to get our Week Started. We stayed at the Heritage House just up the street and set our tour schedule for the week within an hour of checking in. That is a good idea too as the tours do fill up quickly. We did a Day Tour with David, who was so helpful and knew a lot of information about the different animals. He made all the difference.

I was lucky to spend a full day out in the park. The group was relatively small and we enjoyed the open, friendly and entertaining manners of david, our guide. He has spotted a lot of game and knew quite a lot of not only of the animals but also of the vegetation. Nice picknick site with great food included.

When arranging our trip to Durban for a family wedding my son asked if I could arrange a Safari - I thought it would be too hard. I contacted Precious at Heritage Tours and Safaris and she did the rest. We were collected at our hotel in Durban at 3.00am. Our driver Themba was on time, drove us us all safely to Hluhluwe iMfolozi for a 6.00am start. Our guide for the day, David, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the animals, spotted them when all we could see was bush. We saw 4 of the Big 5 - just a perfect day. The food provided was great and enough. After lunch we drove back to the gate and Themba drove us back to Durban. Going through Heritage Tours allowed us the freedom of really just enjoying the day without any hassle of navigating up there and back, food, refreshments. Highly recommended. Thank you Precious, David and Themba for a wonderful experience.
