Let me be the first to tell you that this is truly an impressive and incredible private reserve. This 25000-hectare reserve is home to not only the amazing Big 5 but also Brown Hyena, Spotted Hyena, Wild Dogs, and Cheetah.

How to book a Safari

One now for the first time has the opportunity to enjoy a multitude of Big 5 Safari Options while in the Manyoni Reserve. However please it is important to note that availability plays an enormous role as well as booking well in advance. Minimum bookings accepted is 24 hours via email only, please.

The park (Manyoni Private Reserve) was previously known as the Zululand Rhino Reserve, primarily due to its significant Rhino population. Established in 1995 with the objective of establishing a safe haven for the Black Rhinos. Rhino poaching has escalated to unprecedented numbers over the course of the recent years.

Reserves like these across South Africa will hopefully curb poaching and actually assist in the numbers from negative to positive once again.

Manyoni has been declared an international ecological site due to its abundance of birdlife, plant species, insects and of course the Black Rhinos.

Situated north of the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, access is quick and easy. All transfers are conducted in air-conditioned Mini Bus or SUV. All Big 5 Safaris are conducted in Open Game Drive Safari Vehicles while within the park.
