KwaZulu Natal is home to some of the most magnificent Zululand Game Reserve's in South Africa. The area lies in close proximity to the coast (Indian Ocean) and therefore a warm subtropical weather pattern is also evident year round.
Zululand is also home to the Oldest Proclaimed Game Reserve in Africa namely the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park and 2 World Heritage Sites namely, iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Drakensberg.

First of all, where exactly is Zululand ?
Traveling North from Durban, approximately 1 hour one crosses the (Thukela) or more commonly known as the Tugela River. You have arrived in Zululand, rich in history, scenery and Game Reserves. This province has become world reknown for its Bush & Beach Safari Excursions.
Arriving in Zululand offers a unique and incredible opportunity of large expanses of tribal land inhabited by Zulu's. Sugar cane plantations weaving in the wind with a slower pace of life. The national road (n2) makes access incredibly easy travelling North deeper into bush country. Accessing any of the Zululand Game Reserves is primarily made by the N2.
Please note that not all Zululand Game Reserves are Big 5 Reserves. Prior to any bookings one should enquire as to the fact. Zululand is truly an amazing and incredible destination, a true bush feel with the added benefit of being able to enjoy and experience some splendid beaches while in the area exist. One such area has to be Cape Vidal within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Just imagine being able to enjoy some amazing wildlife and scenery all the while journeying to the beach.

First of all let it be known that all of the reserves within Zululand are beautiful and worth the visit.
